A truly gruesome classic, 1982 horror flick The Thing, is making its comeback as a board game. The outfit behind it is Mondo, largely famed for their poster art. They've teamed up with Project Raygun for this, their first game - The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31.

There won’t be just one version of the game, in addition to the regular one they’re putting out an exclusive edition limited to 1,982 copies. This latter version will feature artwork from another artist, a Mondo print, enamel pin and two additional sculpted movers: the Norwegian character and the Palmer Thing.

The aim is to escape Outpost 31 playing as one of a dozen characters from the film – pilot Macready, station manager Gary and mechanic Childs amongst them. You’ll face sabotage and infection whilst you investigate the Outpost. You need to gather important equipment, battle The Thing and watch that those amongst you aren’t imitators.
